“ PSA the correct address is 135 S Cameron St, not the one listed on Yelp. It's close enough but you don't wanna be like me and accidentally walk in a Mexican restaurant just to be told there's no African food there. Food was good, was surprised how flaky the beef patty ($3 each) crust was and how flavorful the filling was. Got the oxtail with rice and plantains, very tender and well seasoned. Was only a bit salty at the end when it was just the rice drenched in the sauce but loved the rest of it. The veggie garnish and plantains on top were delicious as well. Pretty inexpensive yet still quality food! Would get beef patty again and try other dishes when I get the chance next time! ”
“ Omg this place is sooo good!! The price is an unbelievably great deal. Great portions and everything is full of flavor. Even the onions that are lightly sautéed just full of flavor!! I got the jerk chicken and rice and it was amazing. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended ”
“ Holy heck do you get a lot of food and it's totally worth it! So many options, though they might not have all of them on the days you go. We had this for take out and everyone was super nice and answered any questions we had. Service was fast. The place inside is ok too and you can stay and eat if you wanted. So much good food for pretty cheap! ”
“ This is our second time coming here and Omg the food here is heaven!!! Don't scrolling and just order (esp if you're African/Jamaican and love good food!). My friends and I loveddddddddddd the food(pic below) and will def come back here! On Sundays they close at 7pm but when we called they were willing to take our order for pick up and wait for us to arrive at 7:15pm. Very very nice staff. We parked to the side of the building on the street but there's parking next to right side of the restaurant. They allow dine in but I personally would recommend take out if you're someone who cares about aesthetics. If you don't, then you'll be fine. The building is much on the older side and they do bulk cooking so there's lots of cooking aroma around. ”
“ Love this place! I met a buddy up there for lunch and the food was just off the hook. The chef was making homemade hot sauce while we there and he brought out different ones for us to try. Large portions, good price. Not much around to attract you to it but it's worth the trip on its own. ”
“ Had the Jerk Chicken with rice and peas. The meal came out in a Styrofoam container, and it was heavy. Allot of food. When i opened the container, it was filled with plantains, vegetables, chicken, and rice. I ate as much as I could. I didn't make a dent. Well, a small one. The food was hot, and the flavor was good and spicy. The folks were very courteous and nice. Good stuff. ”
“ Dont let the looks of this place discourage you. The food is mouth watering DELICIOUS!! A bunch of my friends and I went. We all ordered different things so we could taste everything and share! EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!! Jerk chicken, ugaze stew, oxtails, cabbage and carrots, beef patties, yellow rice! EXCELLENT!! ”
“ I have never been to an African restaurant before. Decided to stop in for dinner while in town for business. I was able to try a delicious drink called deque. It was a unique dairy based beverage with millet. I got beef with peanut sauce with rice and my coworkers got several different dishes. My dish was ok. Not as much peanut flavor as I had hoped. The dishes were served with a very spicy hot sauce. The chicken and plaintain dish with peppers and onions looked amazing. So did the whole fried fish with plantains. This was a fun place to try. I did wish I got a different dish with plantains. I did notice how dirty the floor was in the establishment. It was a bit of a turnoff. Otherwise it was a fun dinner out that felt like N exotic trip to another place. ”
